These classic vintage silver Raybert Signabar metal frames are in mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The bridge is marked ''54/22'' and the arms read ''RAYBERT FRAME AUSTRIA''.
Great frames by Raybert, a popular maker from the 1960s and 1970s. These are the Signabar model and they're unused vintage stock, never been worn, never had lenses. From the front the rims look like a typical thickness for a metal frame, but look at them from the sides! Very thick rims, with a very heavily brushed finish, very mod, not to mention tough, too. That thick brushed finish, almost a simulated wood grain, is continued on the temples, hinges and the bridge. Really a cool finish and check out the openings at the hinges, a neat design element and very unusual. The screws are all tested and working just as they should be, they have strong three-barrel hinges, original clip-on nose pads, easily replaced and that great finish. Super frames, ready for lenses and years of cool service!
Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary based on maker and adjustment. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw. All frames are thoroughly inspected before leaving the Attic. I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and these glasses are in mint condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
