These classic men's greywood plastic vintage eyeglasses are in mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The frame is marked ''46 / 21'' and the arms read ''IDOS MADE IN ITALY''. The plastic has a nice sheen with no shrinkage, crazing or discoloration and the diamond rivets shine bright.

Exceptionally cool vintage frames by Idos, out of Italy. This is their Cesare model in greywood, dating from around the middle 1960s, never worn and never had lenses. The Cesare is a great frame - smooth bridge, strong seven barrel hinges, some of the broadest temples I've ever seen, bright diamond rivets and all done in a really brilliant greywood zyl. Super frames, ready for lenses!

Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary based on maker and adjustment. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw.

The frames shown in the photos have a manufacturing flaw that's hard to see - a notch in the left rim (right side viewed from the front) and seen best in the detail photo below. Because of that notch, I've graded that pair excellent. I have others without a notch and those are graded mint. They are new old stock, never worn and even have the tags. Great frames and will provide years of very cool, very fashionable service!
