These classic nmen's blackwood Rondean plastic vintage eyeglasses are in really excellent condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The frame is marked ''48-22 SHURON U.S.A.'' and the arms read ''S/C-U.S.A. 4 3/4 - 6''. The plastic has a nice sheen with no cracks, crazing or discoloration and the rivets shine bright.

Too cool. This is the Rondean from Shuron, made in the later 1950s or early 1960s, back when Shuron was consolidating with Continental Optical, hence the ''S/C'' markings. Keyhole bridge, deep, clear bridge tabs, strong, shiny, snug seven barrel hinges, nice length temples, all in great shape and the black wood zyl pattern is remarkable for the depth of the greys - almost iridescent. Great pair of frames, ready to go!

Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend will vary based on maker and adjustment. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw.

These were a display frame, so they won't have the original paper sleeve, but they've never had lenses and are in super shape. I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and these glasses are in really excellent condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
