These classic silver round wire rim antique eyeglasses are in mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The bridge is marked ''SHURON 1/10 12 K GF'' and the arms read ''SHURON''. The markings mean the frame is 12 karat gold-filled. The bridge is engraved with an alternating swirl pattern, the frame is engraved with a swirl and diagonal pattern and the arms have a swirl and diagonal pattern. This beautiful frame is the Ron King by Shuron, made in the 1930s. They're unused, never worn, new old stock (NOS) complete with the original tag and temples. They're white gold, great finish and filigree throughout, nice, snug hinges, smooth ''shell'' or ''mother of pearl'' nose pads and the screws are tested and working well. Truly wonderful frames, ready for years of service!
Wire rims are flexible, so lenses can be made to a variety of shapes for this frame. This style is worn round, but can also be worn with nearly round lenses or other shapes. Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary based on maker and adjustment. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw. All frames are thoroughly inspected before leaving the Attic. I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and these glasses are in mint condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
If you have any questions about this pair of glasses or anything else, please don't hesitate to contact me. I try to answer all questions promptly.
