These classic gold round wire rim antique eyeglasses are in excellent condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The bridge is marked ''10 K GF'' and the glasses are otherwise unmarked. The markings mean the frame is 10 karat gold-filled. The bridge and rims are engraved with double-dot pattern and dash and the arms have double-X and rectangle pattern.

This is an unused, vintage frame, likely made in the 1930s. Nice filigree throughout, well-done cable temples in a generous length, nice, clean, vintage ''mother of pearl'' nose pads and the screws nare tested and working well. They're marked as gold-filled, but not with the typical percentage mark, so these could well be 1/20 rather than the usual 1/10. Nice pair of frames, ready to go!

Wire rims are flexible, so lenses can be made to a variety of shapes for this frame. This style is worn round, but can also be worn with nearly round lenses or other shapes. Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend will vary based on maker and adjustment. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw.

Though this frame has not been worn and it's in nice shape, there is a slight amount of finish corrosion on the left rim, at about 7 o'clock viewed from the front and also on the temples near the cable joint. Neither of these is at all significant, but I give the full report of everything I find while cleaning. I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and these glasses are in excellent condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
