These classic plastic eyeglasses are brand new, mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The frame in the photos is marked ''52 22'' and the arms read ''SHURON USA SIDEWINDER 6 1/4''. Other sizes are marked accordingly. The plastic has a nice sheen and the silver rivet heads shine bright.
This is the Shuron Sidewinder frame, brand new. The fades are a very cool, recent re-introduction. Very classic design, unchanged since back in the 1950s. Broad temples, keyhole bridge, and silver, double-dot hinge rivets. Great frames, solidly built, classic design, ready to go Note also that the fades often come with demo lenses in the frames that can be used as sunglass lenses. There's a sticker on the left lens, but it peels off clean, so you automatically have a pair of sunglasses, right out of the box! Sometimes the frames do come with regular, clear demo lenses, so if you're set on the tinted demo lenses, please let me know and I'll try my best to arrange that. The tinted lenses can be used like any other demo lens - useful for marking segments for bifocals, good if the shop needs a pattern for making lenses, that sort of thing.
Temples are always measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Please be advised that the 20 mm bridge on this model runs narrow. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw. The Sidewinders come in all the sizes listed above and there are two different temple lengths: 145 mm (5 3/4'') and 150 mm (6''). The largest sizes can be had with 160 mm (6 1/4''). They also have a cable temple option available in silver or gold. They're what Shuron calls their ''Aztec cable'' and you can see it used on one of their other frames here. Sidewinders also come in ebony and tortoise shell. I'm thorough about condition on all frames I offer, even the new classics, so there aren't any surprises and your Sidewinders will be inspected thoroughly before they ship to you. They make great everyday glasses or very cool sunglasses.
