These classic gold tortoise wire rim vintage eyeglasses are in mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The bridge is marked ''48 - 17'' and the arms read ''Milappe Infinity Deluxe G/Tortoise 135'' and the skull temples are marked 140.  Please note that the measurement markings on the Milappe frames are usually a bit different than the actual frame measurements. Here's a Ful-Vue or ''Panto'' style frame brought to us by the Milton Appel Company out of New York, the Big Apple. They go by Milappe and the frame is called the Infinity Deluxe, nice for the cable temple option, higher bridge in the English style and solid construction. They've never been worn, never had lenses and will come on their original frame card. The hinges are spring hinges, unusual on a frame with a cable temple option. They also were made in a skull temple version, shown below. Note that while they're marked as a 48 lens and a 17 bridge, I've checked and double-checked and I really do get 49 for the lens and 20 for the bridge, as listed in the measurement table. Nice frames, ready for lenses and good service!

Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary based on maker and adjustment. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw.
