These classic men's greywood plastic vintage eyeglasses are in mint condition and ready for prescription lenses or sunglasses. The frame is marked ''AO 46'' and the arms read ''American Optical 5 1/2''. The plastic has a nice sheen with no cracks, crazing or discoloration and the rivets shine bright.

What a great American Optical frame. This one is from around the early to middle 1960s and never had lenses. The color of the zyl is a greywood with some iridescence in there. Nice keyhole bridge, classic AO dart rivets, snug AO ''Red Dot'' five barrel hinges and those cool shaped temples. Great frames, ready to go!

Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend vary based on maker and adjustment. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw.

All frames are thoroughly inspected before leaving the Attic. I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and these glasses are in mint condition. They'll make great everyday glasses or some very cool sunglasses.
