These are brilliant hornrim sunglasses, handmade and in outstanding condition. This style of construction was traditional in the 1920s and 1930s, though I rarely see frames from that period with such a striking zyl pattern, so they could be English made from later than the 30s, though the glass lenses would suggest they're relatively early frames, no later than the 1940s. They sport a beautiful keyhole bridge, deep bridge tabs, nice and smooth, green, real glass lenses, traditional thin temples with brass pin hinges and all in that amazing tortoise-shell on black laminate zyl. The lenses are non-Rx green glass, so if you're looking for sunglasses or a prop or costume piece, these could be the ones. Truly wonderful frames, ready to wear.

Temples are measured their full length, hinge to tip, as though they were straightened out. Why? Because they're adjustable, so measurements to the bend will vary based on maker and adjustment. Lens and bridge measurements are from lens edge to lens edge. Hinge to hinge is measured from screw to screw.

They're really in superb condition, but I give the full report, so I'll mention a small lens scratch, left lens, visible in the photos and very light frame surface scuffs at the bridge and temples, likely from where they touched together when folded inside the case. All minor stuff, not notable, but I do give the full report. Great pair of glasses, ready to wear! I'm thorough about condition so there are no surprises and these glasses are in really excellent condition.
